Ministry of Folk: North Atlantic Fringe Virtual Singing Session

Brian is a highly accomplished singer from the Irish tradition singing in both English and Irish languages. His work with Chicago-based ensemble Bua (Seán Gavin, Devin Shepherd, Brian Miller) and singing mentor Len Graham has afforded him opportunities to perform and teach throughout North America and Ireland. His particular affinity for Irish language song stems from his early exposure to the Irish speaking communities of the Great Lakes region. This session welcomes singers from the North Atlantic Fringe countries with special enthusiasm for Irish & Scottish Gaelic song traditions as well songs from Scandinavia and the Canadian and American Maritime traditions.

This event is supported in part by Brian’s affiliation with Let’s Learn Irish, a DC based organization promoting the learning and speaking of Irish worldwide through online classes and engaging, community building activities. He recently finished teaching LLI’s first ever ‘Songs of Irish’ with great success.
